Description
The DIY Construction Kit is a locally made educational toy designed to teach kids the art of ‘making stuff’. The kit consists of a range of wooden blocks and a wide variety of hardware – real nuts and bolts. The kit allows for unlimited designs using either some or all of the pieces. The kits are expandable in that you can join multiple kits together as well as supplement the kits with add-ons.
The nuts and bolts in the kit are easy to grip for little fingers and an Allen key tool is included, allowing bolts to be tightened and loosened easily.
The wooden parts are made from sustainable Birch and the hardware is steel with a zinc coating to prevent rust. There is also a wide range of different kinds of bolts & nuts and fasteners to allow many design possibilities.
The designs range from simple basic shapes up to more complex models allowing exploration of basic DIY and the use of real nuts & bolts.
Our DIY Mechanical Kit allows for more advanced models that teach basic mechanical principles like counterweights, pulleys and leverage.
